Fee Schedule

Payable by the claimant after the Administrator has reviewed the submission and informed the parties that BDRC is prepared to handle the matter. The initiation fee covers the administrative opening of the case, conflict checks, and empanelment. Where a counterclaim is asserted, the initiation fee is divided equally between the parties.

Time devoted to the matter by each arbitrator or mediator is billed at $1,000 per hour, including preparation, conferences, hearing time, deliberation, and the drafting of any award or order. Neutral compensation is divided equally between the parties unless the parties agree otherwise.

A hearing or mediation session cancelled on thirty days' notice or more incurs no cancellation fee. A session cancelled less than thirty days but at least one week before the scheduled date incurs a fee of fifty percent of the neutral compensation reserved for that session. A session cancelled less than one week before the scheduled date incurs the full reserved compensation.

BDRC retains discretion to waive a cancellation fee in appropriate circumstances.

All fees are subject to any fee-shifting provision in the parties' agreements and to allocation under the Center's Rules & Procedures, including allocation by the panel in a final award.
